The awardees who graced the stage were Brian Williams, the Civic/Community award winner who co-founded Step Afrika, an international dance troupe that uses step dance to educate children; Stacey H. Davis, CEO, Fannie Mae Foundation, selected as the Corporate Award winner for spearheading the organization in assisting over 11 million people become home owners; Black Diamonds Entertainment, took the Entertainment Award for producing social events that have mesmerized the urban market, from a private party at the upscale Brooks Bros. clothing store on ManhattanÕs famous Fifth Avenue to hosting functions for numerous national politicians; Marc Stephenson Strachan and Mark Robinson, co-founders of S/R Communications Alliance, accepted the Entrepreneurship Award for their creation of the first multicultural advertising holding firm that networks the resources of minority-owned advertising agencies.
